South Vienna

Today we went to south Vienna and toured Naschtmarket, Karls Church, the Opera House, Belvedere and the Botanical Gardens. The inside of the cathedral rivals anything we have seen, except for St. Stephens. The altar had the Hebrew symbols for God. We took an elevator near to the top and climbed the rest of the way up the steps. The view was extraordinary! Naschmarket was all about great fresh food and bartering. We picked up a few things! We walked to the Opera House, but they were not touring today, so we stayed on the outside. Lastly, we went to lunch at Belvedere, which consists of the upper and lower houses complete with gorgeous fountains. Quite outstanding. We finished our day in the Botanical Gardens and Colleen was so hungry, she nearly ate a huge plant for roughage, but I gave her a Snickers instead. Having a great time!!

Love,
Kerry and Colleen

ps. After we have walked up and down so many hills and steps, we have buns of steel Tessie!
