Mljet National Park and the Long Walk Home

We went to a beautiful National Park yesterday and we had to take a catamaran as well as a various and sundry other vehicles. here are some of the photos. The Adriatic is gorgeous and though the water was a bit cold, it was refreshing to swim in it. The end of the day brought a cable car ride up Srd. Mt. and then we were so clever to think we could walk down to the apt. Ha! We walked for about 5 miles and realized that we would never get there this night, so we hitched a ride with a young lady to the apt. We had a good laugh and after cleaning up, walked back to town. I guess you are realizing by now that walking is the preferred mode of transport. It is so very hilly. The calves and thighs, they are a burnin'.
